From the switch directly to the cloud: Telemecanique Sensors ' XIOT Cloud Sensor enables monitoring of remote systems and machines. In doing so, he self-sends the switching state directly to the user via the cloud. If the state of the end switch (or switching contact) changes to the system or machine, the transmitter sends a message to the server using the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) network. This message is then sent to one or more recipients as a warning to a PC, tablet or smartphone. The technology is based on an LPWAN network from Sigfox, which has an antenna network with high ranges (up to 50 km each antenna). Thanks to the integrated lithium-ion battery, the XIOT Cloud sensor works autonomously (up to 10 years) and independently of GSM networks. The otherwise necessary effort (PLC and GSM module) is no longer necessary, as the final switch is connected directly to the transmitter.
