Information about the product

The XPSUAF safety relays / safety switchgear protect the operator and the machine by immediately stopping the hazardous movement after receiving a stop command from the operator or by detecting a fault in the safety circuit itself. The XPSUAF can monitor the following protective devices:

Emergency stop circuits according to ISO 13850 standards

Switches activated by protective devices according to ISO 14119 standards:

Mechanical safety switches (position switches, pull-rope emergency stop switches, etc. )

Magnetic switches with antivalent or 2 NC contacts

Proximity switches with antivalent contacts

PNP sensor

RFID safety switches

Type 4 light curtains in accordance with IEC 61496-1, which have semiconductor safety outputs with test function (OSSD)

The required safety function (1 of 6) can be selected and the start function (automatic, manual, monitored, start-up test) can be configured via the front selector switches. The diagnostic output transmits extensive status information for simplified maintenance and service via a coded telegram to the standard input of a PLC, which processes it further by means of a function block for common control systems. To monitor a higher number of antivalent contacts with this safety monitoring module, the antivalent contacts can be connected in series with a normally closed contact (NC) and in parallel with a normally open contact (NO). Six front LEDs provide information on the status of the monitoring circuit.
