With the Modicon modular safety controller XPSMCMDO0004SG, safety applications can be easily configured and the system can be flexibly expanded with modules according to the application. This expansion module has 4 safe digital semiconductor outputs for PL e or SIL3, each individually controllable. These outputs are designed for switching loads of up to 400 mA. In addition, 4 status outputs are available, which can also be used as safety outputs up to PL c or SIL1. The backplane bus connector required for connection to the internal bus is included in the packaging. The module has removable spring terminals. This module can only be used with the CPU from version 2.
