Information about the product
The XPSUAT safety relays / safety switchgear protect the operator and the machine by immediately stopping the hazardous movement after receiving a stop command from the operator or by detecting a fault in the safety circuit itself. The XPSUAT can monitor the following protective devices:Emergency stop circuits according to ISO 13850 standards
Switches activated by protective devices according to ISO 14119 standards:
Mechanical safety switches (position switches, emergency pull-wire switches, etc)
Magnetic switches with antivalent or 2 NC contacts
Proximity switches with antivalent contacts
PNP sensor
1 PNP + 1 NPN sensor
RFID safety switches
Type 4 light curtains according to IEC 61496-1, which have semiconductor safety outputs with test function (OSSD)
4-wire safety mats or safety edges in accordance with ISO 13856
In addition to the immediately triggering safety outputs of stop category 0, the XPSUAT safety relays have time-delayed outputs of stop category 1, which enable controlled braking of the motor to a complete standstill (for example, motor braking via frequency inverter). After the preset delay time has elapsed, the power supply is switched off by opening the time-delayed output circuit. The time delay between 0.1 sec and 15 min can be set via front selector switches. A semiconductor output informs about the expiration of the time delay.
The required safety function (1 of 10) can be selected and the start function (automatic, manual, monitored, start-up test) can be configured via the selector switches on the front. The diagnostic output transmits extensive status information for simplified maintenance and service via a coded telegram to the standard input of a PLC, which processes it further by means of a function block for common control systems. To monitor a higher number of antivalent contacts with this safety monitoring module, the antivalent contacts can be connected in series with a normally closed contact (NC) and in parallel with a normally open contact (NO). Eight front LEDs provide information on the status of the monitoring circuit.
