XPSBAT safety relays are used to monitor emergency stop circuits in accordance with ISO 13850 and IEC 60204-1 standards, and also meet the safety requirements for electrical monitoring of switches in protective devices in accordance with ISO 14119. b They protect both the machine operator and the machine by immediately stopping the hazardous motion when the operator issues a stop command or when a fault is detected in the safety circuit itself.

In addition to the two instantaneous stop category 0 safety outputs, the relay has a time-delayed stop category 1 output that allows controlled deceleration of motor components to a complete stop (e.g., motor braking by frequency converter). At the end of the adjustable deceleration time, the supply is interrupted by opening the time-delayed output.

The time delay of one output circuit is adjustable between 0 and 15 min (0-900 s). The safety functions and the time delay are selectable and can be set by front selector switches, while the start function is configured wired. The start button monitoring function is configurable depending on the wiring. Eight front panel LEDs provide monitoring circuit status information and aid in diagnostics.
