Smallest sensor with integrated amplifier

The super-thin design of the EX-Z11B photoelectric sensor from Panasonic Industry is achieved by means of the latest sensor design, which does not require any bonding wires. The small design allows mounting under difficult space conditions, where previously only fiber optics could be used. Unlike a fiber optic solution, however, no additional space or external amplifier is required due to the integrated amplifier.
Due to a clearly visible red light beam, mounting and beam alignment is very easy. The large LED provides a bright and long term stable light output. With the integrated slit mask the sensor can detect objects as small as 0.3 diameter. Even at a distance of 500mm objects from 1mm are reliably detected. With protection class IP67 the EX-Z can also be used in environments that come into contact with water. For this purpose there are rust-resistant mounting brackets made of stainless steel and plastic.
